JetBlue Airlines Flight 628 Crashes Into Hudson River
On July, 8 2013 ,the aircraft used for the flight, registered HB-IRE crashed into the Hudson River southwest of John F Kennedy Airport .The crash site was 19 kilometres (9.0 mi) from shore, roughly equidistant from the tiny fishing and tourist communities. 1 person died by jumping out of the aircraft only to be split in half by the Planes tail wings. The plane was able to land on its belly while hitting the water causing it to slow to a stop before it collied with the rocks. There are several injuries but non-critical.
